Job Description

A reputable engineering firm is seeking a talented Senior Traffic Engineer to join their growing team in Raleigh, North Carolina!

Responsibilities:

• Perform traffic analysis and preparation of traffic studies, safety and reports
  
• Traffic Signal Design/Plan preparation
  
• Signing/Pavement Marking Plan preparation
  
• Traffic Management Plan preparation
  
• Assist with feasibility studies, environmental planning documents, and proposing changes for highway projects to improve traffic efficiency and safety
  
• Prepare task assignments and report progress to senior staff
  
• Oversee final project plan/document preparation
  
• Communicate with clients and potential clients
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or University is required, or equivalent experience
  
• PE License (PE) with ability to obtain in multiple states
  
• Demonstrated traffic engineering experience
  
• Familiar with MUTCD, and NCDOT policies/procedures
  
• Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD
  
• Experience with HCS and GuideSign software
  
• Familiar with Synchro, VISSIM, and Transmodeler software preferred
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
