Description:

We're seeking a skilled 100% Remote Technical Writer with a passion for translating complex engineering and data concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation. This short-term role runs through the end of the year and focuses on revamping and improving onboarding materials for our internal data platform.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $45 - $55 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Review, organize, and update existing data platform documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

• Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to understand technical processes and workflows.

• Create easy-to-follow onboarding guides, diagrams, and reference materials that help new users quickly get up to speed.

• Ensure documentation aligns with company standards and supports efficient knowledge transfer across teams.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience writing technical or engineering documentation, ideally in a data or software environment.

• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and explain them in simple, engaging language.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Availability to start immediately and commit through the end of the year.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
