8AM-5PM Mon-Sat OT required

Professional accounting firm in Hollister, CA is seeking a Tax Preparer to become a part of our experienced team of financial professionals. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and exempt organizations.

• Preparing tax returns for clients
• Perform tax research
• Resolve tax notices from IRS or other taxing authorities
• Assist in federal, state and local tax audits
• Prepare GAAP basis financial statements
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Experience with tax research
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe products
• Proficiency in accounting and major tax software, including QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor
• Minimum 2-4 years experience in public accounting, Bachelors in Accounting
• Current licensed CPA or CPA candidate
• Resume Required
