Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: 4 Weekdays + 1 Weekend Day | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $38 – $40 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting . This role involves working with medically complex and high-acuity patients and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Conduct dysphagia assessments and develop appropriate intervention plans
Manage patients with high-acuity and medically complex conditions
Accurately document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in the medical record
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in discharge planning and provide patient and family education as needed
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Clinician
Dysphagia training required
2+ years of acute care experience preferred due to patient acuity
