Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Skilled Nursing Facility | Waverly, NY | Full-Time | CFY Welcome | Sign-On Bonus

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations for skilled nursing residents
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each resident's needs
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to address communication disorders, dysphagia, cognitive impairments, and related conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and caregivers to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
  • Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge plans in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary care planning meetings and communicate effectively with families
  • Conduct and coordinate audiometric screenings and provide appropriate referrals when necessary
  • Contribute to staff education and in-service training programs related to speech-language pathology
  • Maintain compliance with all facility safety protocols, infection control procedures, and professional standards
  • Stay current with clinical best practices and participate in continuing education opportunities
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current New York State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed and encouraged to apply
  • Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, evaluation techniques, and therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to document clearly and accurately
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills
