**Hours:** PRN; typical hours are 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm. Will be scheduled for (1) weekend per month and will be included in holiday rotation. Other shifts will be based on needs of department and can fluctuate.
**About The Job:**
This position assists the licensed/certified rehabilitation services professional (PT, OT, PTA, COTA, SLP) in the preparation of patients for treatment, assist with certain therapy procedures with the patients, and maintains therapy equipment in a clean and aesthetic manner. This position also transports patients to and from the rehabilitation department. This position supports the above Rehab Staff in the MercyOne acute care hospital setting.
**What we are looking for:**
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent or Successful completion of formal Nurse Aide Course (training verified transcript or original program certificate of completion)
Experience:
Previous experience in a health care field is preferred.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Ability to communicate and work with patients of all ages.
Flexibility in work schedule.
Must provide proof of **Basic Life Support** (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
Completes **Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse** requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years.
