Job Description

Position : PeopleSoft Business Analyst

Location : Washington DC Onsite (relocation from all over USA will work here)

Duration : Long term contract

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Business Analyst to support business operations and financial process improvements within PeopleSoft applications. The ideal consultant will analyze business needs, recommend system enhancements, document functional specifications, and coordinate across cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into PeopleSoft system configurations.
  • Lead requirements gathering, functional gap analysis, system mapping, and business workflow documentation.
  • Develop functional specifications, use cases, and business process models.
  • Support design, configuration, testing, and deployment of PeopleSoft enhancements.
  • Create test plans, perform UAT, and support production cutover activities.
  • Collaborate with PeopleSoft developers, DBAs, and project teams.
  • Document system changes and prepare user training material.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide post-implementation support.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working with PeopleSoft.
  • Strong knowledge in HR, Financials, HCM, or supply chain modules (depending on project need).
  • Hands-on experience documenting requirements, workflows, BRDs, FRDs, and test cases.
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, tables, data relationships, and reporting.
  • UAT planning and execution experience is mandatory.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with SQL for data validation and reporting.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Upgrade/Migration projects.
  • Prior experience working with federal/government sector clients (preferred but not mandatory).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and documentation ability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable dealing with cross-functional stakeholder teams.
