Job Summary and Responsibilities

Mercy Medical Group (MMG) , a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is seeking skilled and compassionate pediatricians for our busy Pediatrics Department at our Folsom, CA clinic. As a pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the health and well-being of the community's youngest members. Well baby nursery rounding is a requirement for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:


Well Baby Nursery Rounding
Conducting thorough medical examinations, including growth and development assessments, to diagnose and treat various pediatric conditions.
Providing preventive care, vaccinations, and immunizations to promote overall health and prevent illnesses.
Evaluating and managing acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections in pediatric patients.
Developing personalized treatment plans and monitoring patients' progress over time, adjusting interventions as needed.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Educating parents and caretakers on child health, nutrition, safety, and other relevant topics.
Conducting screenings for developmental delays, behavioral issues, and mental health concerns, and providing appropriate referrals and interventions.

Keeping accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
Staying informed about the latest medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and pediatric research. Adhering to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in pediatrics.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of California.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric diseases, treatments, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, parents, and healthcare team members.
  • Empathy and patience when working with children and their families.
  • Attention to detail and ability to make accurate diagnoses based on comprehensive evaluations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine.
