Job Description

Role Summary The Assistant Stylist's primary role is to support the styling team daily to maintain styling responsibilities, studio duties, assisting on shoot days, submitting creative orders, and keeping shot lists up to date. The assistant stylist will work closely with the studio team, including the Stylists, Art Directors, Digital Tech, Sample Coordinator and Producers to ensure all products are styled, shot, and named correctly. This person must have a passion for current fashion trends, styling, and brand photography. The candidate must be organized, reliable and dedicated to the role within the studio as well as have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and openness to feedback. Role Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of the studio at all times including organizing the racks, tidying the sets once shooting is complete and ensuring the styling closet is in order at all time Review studio sample practices and procedures, determine whether improvements can be made and work to implement changes as appropriate Work with styling manager and associate stylist to remove old samples and update styling closet seasonally Create any and all shot lists, trackers, and styling documents for the team. Assist on style out days by working with stylist and associate stylist to create outfits and shot lists, and communicate with sample coordinator any needs that are required before the shoot day Prepare all samples before each shooting day and assist associate stylist and stylists on set Support on-set Stylist, Art Director, Photographer, and Tech to ensure shot count is maintained and that all call outs regarding samples are communicated Attend stylist meetings to ensure full understanding of product and trend direction Communicate cross functionally with buying teams and sample coordinator to acquire samples and understand reasons for reshoots and additional photo needs Work with distribution center team to request all creative styling pieces & communicate status back to styling manager Have an understanding of on set etiquette and bring a good attitude and positivity to the team Role Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft excel, Google sheets, Adobe Acrobat etc. Ability to work in a fast paced team environment Knowledge of fashion trends and desire to learn about styling LOCATION Philadelphia, PA LI-DD2 The Perks URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
