About The Role We’re looking for a Motion Graphics Designer to bring in-car digital experiences to life through animation and motion design. From infotainment screens to navigation, instrument clusters to ambient lighting—your work will shape the feel of the drive itself. As part of our growing UX team, you’ll design immersive, visually compelling motion graphics that elevate usability, reinforce brand identity, and inject personality into our products. You’ll collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, prototypers, and developers to build and deliver motion assets across our entire in-vehicle ecosystem.
What You’ll Do - Design and animate 2D and 3D motion graphics for vehicle infotainment systems, instrument clusters, navigation, and ambient experiences.
- Create Lottie animations and prototype micro-interactions for real-time implementation across infotainment and HMI surfaces.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, visual designers, and engineers to define how motion enhances usability and emotional resonance.
- Develop storyboards, motion studies, and high-fidelity animations to communicate design intent and user flows.
- Work closely with suppliers and developers to integrate animations into production software, ensuring pixel-perfect execution across screens and hardware.
- Stay informed on motion trends, animation systems, and automotive design to continuously push innovation and refinement.
- Contribute to design systems and motion language guidelines for in-vehicle and potentially cross-platform experiences (e.g., mobile companion apps).
- Support user testing efforts with motion prototypes to validate interactions and transitions.
What You Bring - 5+ years of experience in motion graphics, UI animation, or visual storytelling—ideally in automotive, product design, or technology spaces.
- A strong portfolio/demo reel showing expertise in motion graphics, interaction animation, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe After Effects, Lottie (via Bodymovin), Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent.
- Experience creating and optimizing Lottie animations for real-time and embedded environments.
- Solid understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, anticipation, follow-through, etc.).
- Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and transitions through motion.
- Familiarity with prototyping tools like ProtoPie, Figma, Principle, or Framer.
- A foundational understanding of HMI design principles, especially for safety and driver distraction.
- Bonus: Experience in 3D modeling/rendering or lighting visualization.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, HCI, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience working in agile or cross-functional design/engineering teams.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and iterating quickly based on feedback.
