Orders office supplies and maintains inventory of commonly used items. Responsible for shipping of U.S. mail, certified documents, and packages. Responsible for incoming freight. Delivers incoming UPS and FedEx packages. Applies appropriate postage on outgoing mail. Takes mail to post office as needed. Core Competencies

  • Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: Office Administrator Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Sorts incoming mail.
    • Delivers mail and packages.
    • Operates postage meter.
    • Post bulletins.
    • Records postage meter data.
    • Orders office supplies.
    • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Mails payroll bonuses and payroll checks.
    • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

    Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. 0-6 months previous work experience. Physical Requirements:
    • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction.
    • Must be physically able to perform light work: lifting no more than 20 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects of no more than 10 pounds; frequent standing or walking. May be required to lift objects of up to 40 pounds.
    • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
    Working Conditions: The duties of this position are performed in a general office environment. There is exposure to dust from moving boxes and handling mail. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks on a daily basis. Equipment Used to Perform Job: Postage meter, postage scale, Fax, shredder, copier, PC with Microsoft Office programs. Contacts: Has daily contact with employees, suppliers/vendors and federal/state governmental or regulatory agencies. Confidentiality: Has access to payroll checks and confidential faxes and mails.
