Must have 2 years of experience with LOA - highly preferred to have workers comp experience as well**

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

This position is responsible for administering the Leave of Absence/FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, Workers compensation, STD and LTD programs in accordance with company policy, federal and state laws. This includes resolving issues and acting as Subject Matter Expert in Leave of Absence/FMLA, STD and LTD.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

1. Knowledge of LOA policies and procedures
2. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations as they apply to leave plans
3. Knowledge of State workers' compensation regulations
4. Ability to problem solve and or seek guidance as issue arise
5. Ability to be at work and be on time
6. Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
7. Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
8. Ability to prioritize and multitask

Experience

2-5 years of FMLA/Leave of Absence (LOA) experience required

Strong organization skills

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office

Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred

Effective in oral and written communication

Effective multitasking skills in a high volume, fast paced, team-oriented environment.

Education

Associate degree or two year of college preferred

CEBS designation preferred
