Job Description

Springs Village Care Center is seeking a compassionate and organized Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. Your efforts will foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes socialization, creativity, and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead recreational and social activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
  • Coordinate schedules and resources for activities, events, and outings.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and families to ensure customized programming.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
  • Promote community involvement and build relationships with external organizations.
  • Assist residents in adapting to their environments and enhancing their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreational therapy or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in activity coordination, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Pass a background check and meet all regulatory requirements.

Job Description The Life Enrichment Coordinator plans and coordinates a variety of programs to provide a vibrant and engaging life for our skilled nursing residents. Duties and responsibilities:
  • Determine resident program preferences, talents, and needs through resident feedback, new resident orientation, and communication with resident families.
  • Plan daily and weekly programs to engage residents to meet their social, physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Assist in planning programs and events that encourage prospective residents to participate in community life and see the value and benefit our community can offer them.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of activity programming experience.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience, in senior living preferred.
  • A love for seniors!
  • Highly organized and great time management skills
  • Energetic, engaging, and caring personality
  • Ability to connect with people
