Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment in production areas.
• Diagnose, analyze and repair electro-mechanical and instrumentation equipment using meters, gauges and other testing methods.
• Apply knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic devices and principles to install, repair, and/or replace defective equipment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves equipment problems while demonstrating proactive maintenance concepts and employees’ best practices.
• Complete/perform PM assignments and documentation as scheduled.
• Effectively communicate with management regarding safety, quality, and production concerns.
• Identify need of replacement or of new equipment and inform management.
• Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.
• Focus on safety at all times - safe working habits, safe work area, and follow all general industrial safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Preferred 2 year technical degree or equivalent combination of education/ experience
• Industrial Plant Maintenance: 5+ years is required
• Must be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to multi- task and work independently as the sole maintenance person for the facility.
• Must be able to work around grease, oils, chemicals, and solvents without adverse reaction
• Able to read and interpret, on a basic level, ladder logic, pneumatic, instrumentation, hydraulic and electrical drawings and manuals
• Use of precision measuring, gauging tools and electrical meters
• Experience with AC and DC motors, starters, PLC, capacitance & inductive sensors, relays, etc.
• Must be able to take a written skills assessment test prior to hiring

Physical Job Requirements:

• Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving (up to 75 pounds). Must be able to work from elevated platforms and ladder lifts.
