Sovrun is seeking an imaginative and detail-oriented Game Designer to join our talented team. As a Game Designer, you will play a key role in conceptualizing and developing engaging gameplay experiences. You will work collaboratively with artists, developers, and producers to bring innovative ideas to fruition while ensuring a high standard of quality.
Design and document engaging gameplay mechanics and systems.
Create detailed design specifications, including gameplay scenarios, character designs, and level layouts.
Conduct playtesting sessions to gather feedback and refine gameplay.
Collaborate with artists and developers to ensure cohesive implementation of design ideas.
Stay updated with industry trends, player preferences, and emerging gaming technologies.
Iterate and improve existing designs based on user feedback and analytics.
Work with production to prioritize and schedule design tasks effectively.
Have experience in using ai tools to augment workflows regarding research and concept generation like chatgpt, midjourney etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in game design or related roles, preferably within the gaming industry.
Strong understanding of game mechanics, player engagement, and iterative design processes.
Experience with game design software and project management tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, JIRA).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Passion for gaming and a thorough knowledge of various game genres.
Portfolio showcasing previous design work and contributions to completed projects.
