Job Description
Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an eDiscovery Attorney to join its Litigation Department. The attorney will manage eDiscovery projects end-to-end, including selecting technologies, coordinating review teams, and advising on strategy and best practices. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating ESI protocols, confidentiality orders, and discovery schedules, while collaborating with litigation leaders and outside vendors. The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of eDiscovery platforms (including Relativity), with experience in collections, privilege review, managed review, and emerging AI technologies. This hybrid role is based in Philadelphia, and candidates must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities- Manage eDiscovery projects end-to-end, including selecting and applying technologies for collection, early case assessment, document review, and production
- Select and manage document review teams, including contract reviewers
- Provide legal advice on discovery and eDiscovery issues, including case law, collections, privilege, and managed review
- Draft, negotiate, and implement ESI protocols, confidentiality orders, and discovery schedules
- Lead ESI within the litigation department; evaluate new technologies (including AI) and coordinate with vendors
Qualifications- Significant experience participating in and managing eDiscovery projects
- Advanced knowledge of common eDiscovery technologies, including Relativity
- Understanding of case law related to discovery, collections, privilege, and managed review
- Experience interacting with vendors and internal litigation stakeholders
- Ability to support multiple matters in time-sensitive conditions
- Bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate will be based is strongly preferred
- Litigation background helpful; this is not a courtroom litigator role
Expected salary for this role is $150,000 - $225,000, plus merit-based bonus, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
