A leading Detroit healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Quality Improvement to oversee quality initiatives, enhance patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a data-driven, solutions-oriented leader with a strong background in healthcare operations, continuous improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Quality Improvement leads performance improvement initiatives across the hospital, utilizing data analytics, continuous improvement tools, and evidence-based strategies to drive excellence in patient care. The director works closely with senior leadership, physicians, and frontline teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement quality programs, and sustain long-term performance gains.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Health Care Administration, Operations Analysis, Clinical field, or related area)

    • Master’s degree preferred

  • 3 years of professional experience in continuous improvement within a healthcare environment

    • Includes 1 year utilizing statistical methods and continuous improvement tools

  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in an acute care facility

    • Must include at least 1 year working with senior management and physician leaders

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance outcomes
