Job Description

Digital Graphic Designer (Figma-First)

Reports to: Creative Director
Location: Remote (flexible, ~4+ hrs overlap with US time preferred)
Status: Full-Time

About the Role

We’re looking for a Figma power user with a modern UX/UI portfolio. You’ll design end-to-end page layouts (desktop and mobile), maintain a clean design system, and partner with Content/Dev to ship polished, brand-consistent web experiences. You thrive in a feedback-rich environment, move quickly, and sweat the visual details.

What You’ll Do

  • Design end-to-end page layouts in Figma for marketing sites and product surfaces—responsive comps for desktop and mobile, with clear hierarchy and typography.

  • Build and evolve design systems (components, variables/tokens, Auto Layout, component properties) to drive visual consistency and speed.

  • Prototype flows and micro-interactions; prepare dev-ready specs and annotations.

  • Audit and refine UI quality —catch spacing/typography inconsistencies, alignment issues, color contrast, and content errors before handoff.

  • Partner with Web/CMS teams to implement designs: populate pages with copy and imagery and perform light content entry/QA in HubSpot and/or WordPress .

  • Iterate quickly based on stakeholder feedback and performance learnings; manage multiple tracks and deadlines.

  • Champion best practices in Figma and stay current with new features to improve team velocity.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2+ years in UX/UI or web design with expert-level Figma proficiency.

  • Portfolio that features full page designs (desktop and mobile) demonstrating modern visual style, strong layout/hierarchy, and attention to detail.

  • Hands-on experience with CMS workflows —preferably HubSpot and/or WordPress —including adding images/content and basic page QA.

  • Strong command of English for layout with text (headlines, body copy, CTAs) and collaboration with English-speaking stakeholders.

  • Solid grasp of typography, color, spacing, grid systems, and responsive behavior.

  • Comfortable preparing clean dev handoffs (components, redlines/measurements, variants) and collaborating closely with engineers.

  • Landing page design with a focus on conversion (user flow, CTAs, form UX)

  • Working knowledge of accessibility basics (contrast, type sizes, tap targets).

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Dev Mode , variables/design tokens, interactive components, and prototyping best practices in Figma.

  • Light HTML/CSS literacy for stronger handoffs and QA.

  • Experience in brand/marketing design across web, email, and social.

How We’ll Collaborate (Interview Focus)

In early conversations, we’ll ask you to:

  • Walk through your Figma workflow (Auto Layout, variables/tokens, component libraries, prototyping, Dev Mode).

  • Show 2–3 relevant projects that include complete page layouts on desktop and mobile, explaining decisions on hierarchy, typography, spacing, and responsiveness.

  • Describe how you implement in CMS (HubSpot/WordPress), manage content entry, and QA pages before/after publish.

What to Include in Your Application

  • Portfolio link highlighting modern UX/UI work.
    Please include:

    • At least two full page desktop + mobile examples.

    • Evidence of design system thinking (components, variants, documentation).

    • Before/after or iteration snapshots (optional but welcome).

  • (Optional) Figma file views or prototypes with share settings that allow viewing.

Success in the First 90 Days

  • Ship 3–5 responsive page designs using shared components and tokens.

  • Reduce UI inconsistencies across pages by establishing/expanding the design system.

  • Implement at least one page end-to-end in the CMS with clean content entry and QA.

  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in speed/quality through smarter Figma usage.
