Commercial Appraiser Trainee

Mequon, WI

Chudnow Druck Valuation is looking for a Commercial Appraiser Trainee. The applicant does not necessarily need any appraisal education/experience, but some real estate background would be helpful. It is a plus if the ultimate goal is to become a certified appraiser, but not necessary. The trainee will receive hands on experience with direct supervision of an MAI appraiser while working towards their career goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in analyzing real estate market trends and learn how to collect, analyze and report findings
• Investigate data required in appraisals; including but not limited to tax and assessment data, market statistics, comparable data, etc.
• Assist in completing/typing appraisal reports
• Accompany supervising appraiser on-site inspections; eventually do site inspections independently

Requirements:

• If working towards certification, bachelor’s degree required or enrolled working towards a degree. A degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or Economics is preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office-specifically in Word and Excel
• Ability to travel independently to property inspections
• Work well in a team/office environment
• Excellent time management skills

Compensation:

• Base salary/hourly with achievable bonus pay schedule
