Job Description

Commonwealth Medical Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our healthcare team in Los Angeles. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to provide comprehensive care to women throughout their reproductive lifespan. As a CNM, you will work collaboratively with obstetricians and other healthcare providers to offer prenatal, labor, and postpartum care, as well as gynecological services. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive prenatal care, including assessments, screenings, and education
  • Assist and oversee labor and delivery processes, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Deliver postnatal care and education to new mothers regarding recovery and infant care
  • Conduct gynecological examinations, offer family planning services, and educate patients on reproductive health
  • Work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other health professionals in a team-based approach
  • Advocate for the health needs of women and provide counseling on lifestyle and wellness
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and care plans

Requirements

  • Current Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification and active California nursing license
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on midwifery
  • Experience in midwifery, obstetrics, or women's health preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in maternal and child healthcare
  • Exceptional communication and patient education abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families
