Job Description

University Home Care Inc is seeking a dedicated CDA Certified Teacher to join our new day care center opening soon in Livonia, MI. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic early childhood educator who is passionate about fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. You will be responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate learning activities that promote development and growth in a safe and supportive setting. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of children.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
• Observe and assess children's progress and communicate with parents and guardians regularly.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, daily activities, and child development milestones.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and effective teaching environment.
• Ensure classroom materials and play areas are well-organized and maintained.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Current CDA (Child Development Associate) certification.
• Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or early childhood education setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate educational activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Pass necessary background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
