Job Description

SCOPE/GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:  

Regents Health Resources is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a range of healthcare consulting engagements. This individual will be responsible for conducting complex analyses including valuations, market assessments, RCM reviews, and operational performance analysis, with a focus on delivering data-driven insights to our healthcare clients.

 The ideal candidate will bring experience in healthcare operations or analytics, a strong foundation in tools such as Power BI and simulation software, and familiarity with database management and statistical analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Analyze healthcare operational, financial, and market data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform market analysis, demand forecasting, and competitive landscape assessments for healthcare facilities and service lines.
  • Support valuation projects for imaging centers and healthcare organizations, including financial modeling and benchmarking.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to convey insights to clients and internal teams.
  • Utilize simulation tools such as Arena to model operational workflows, throughput, and capacity scenarios.
  • Conduct robust analyses of revenue cycle processes (e.g., patient access, charge capture, denials, AR, collections) to support client performance improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations that communicate analytical findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure analytic rigor, quality deliverables, and timely execution of project workplans.
  • Contribute to project management activities, including task tracking, status reporting, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, healthcare consulting, business analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS :  

  • Strong knowledge of data visualization platforms (Power BI required) and ability to design and build dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to manage large datasets and develop financial and operational models.
  • Experience with simulation software such as Arena preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred (imaging centers, outpatient services, or provider environments).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present data-driven findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assist in managing projects.
  • Experience with SQL or other relational database tools for data extraction and analysis.
  • Background in statistical analysis or data science techniques.
  • Familiarity with healthcare financial and practice management systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
  • Project management skills and/or familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project).
