Body Shop Technicians job at Mike Bass Ford Sheffield Village, OH, US

Job Description

Job Summary: Mike Bass Ford is seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team in Sheffield Village, Ohio. This is a full-time flat rate position in the auto industry, and the individual will be responsible for performing collision repairs on our customers' vehicles. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this role is $20 to $30 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental coverage, paid time off, and a 401k plan. Responsibilities:

Perform body repairs, including dent removal, welding, and panel replacement, according to manufacturer specifications
Repair or replace damaged body parts, such as doors, fenders, bumpers, and hoods
Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, priming, and masking
Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components related to body repairs, such as lights, mirrors, and windows
Communicate with employees to explain repairs and provide estimates
Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a body shop technician
Must be able to read and interpret repair manuals and specifications
Strong knowledge of body repair techniques, including welding
Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment
Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
Team player with good communication and customer service skills
Must hold a valid driver's license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
