Bench Jeweler – Luxury Retail Environment

Trice Jewelers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to join our prestigious luxury retail team. This full-time position is ideal for a professional passionate about fine jewelry craftsmanship, with a meticulous approach to creating, repairing, and maintaining high-quality jewelry pieces. The successful candidate will work closely with our design, sales and service teams, ensuring each piece meets our exceptional standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Jewelry Creation & Repair:

· Perform expert jewelry repairs including resizing, soldering, setting stones, re-tipping prongs, polishing, refinishing, laser welding and all basic repairs across all jewelry types

· Manufacture custom jewelry pieces from start to finish, working from detailed technical drawings provided by the CAD Design team.

· Set diamonds and precious gemstones meticulously, ensuring accuracy and aesthetic perfection.

· Ability to thrive in a fast paced and high-volume environment.

· Take ownership of shop cleanliness, equipment and tool maintenance and keep a presentable and organized bench.

Collaboration:

· Collaborate closely with CAD designers, sales executives, service concierges and clients to ensure designs translate flawlessly into finished products.

· Provide technical feedback to design and sales teams regarding feasibility and improvements to manufacturing processes.

· Foster an environment of shop excellence and growth by learning, sharing and updating your skill set and methods, while staying at the forefront of emerging jewelry techniques and technologies.

Client Engagement:

· Occasionally interact with clients to discuss specific technical aspects of jewelry pieces, repair processes, or custom orders, ensuring transparency and client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

· 2+ years of prior bench experience, ideally in a luxury retail environment.

· A High School diploma or equivalent required.

· Expertise in jewelry repair techniques, stone setting, metalworking, soldering, polishing, and refinishing. Experience with advanced stone setting techniques, including pave, channel, and bezel settings.

· Strong familiarity with precious metals and gemstones.

· Exceptional hand-eye coordination, precision, and meticulous attention to detail.

· Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings, typed instructions and specifications.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working efficiently with team members and occasionally clients.

Salary: $21 - $30/hr
