A Banquet Server/Bartender is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the Golden Nugget’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities:Assist and prepare in set up of the banquet area prior to guest arrival to ensure room design is executed correctly
Maintain timeline of events to ensure seamless service
Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Follow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly
Maintain cleanliness and condition of stations, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines
Maintain complete knowledge of the daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people; location of all Golden Nugget function space and names of rooms; all styles of meeting and banquet room settings
Strong communication skills
Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
Must be available for various shifts including early morning, late nights, double shifts, occasional triple shifts, occasional split shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours
Understanding of basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts for guests
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group environments to customers, clients, and or employees of organizations that we serve
1 year prior food service experience required, preferably in Banquets
