Anaplan Solution Architect

Houston, TX (5 days a week)

Please note that this is a hands-on role and not a lead/manager role.

The Anaplan Solution Architect is a strategic and technical leader responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the firm's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions. This role is crucial for transforming financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes into scalable, high-performance models that drive decision superiority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Blueprinting: Translate complex financial planning requirements, business processes, and enhancement requests into robust, scalable technical designs for both new and existing Anaplan models.
  • End-to-End Development: Lead the comprehensive design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of all core Anaplan solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
  • Platform Integrity & Integration: Guarantee the sustained performance and seamless integration of EPM solutions across adjacent and tertiary technological domains.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Implement best-in-class methodologies for data integration, transformation, and validation to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data within all Anaplan models.
  • Optimization & Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues, govern rigorous testing protocols, and proactively optimize existing models for superior functionality and user experience.
  • Documentation & Standards: Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation, development guidelines, and technical standards aligned with Planual best practices.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep Anaplan Proficiency: A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in multi-dimensional modeling within the Anaplan platform, including successful completion of at least two (2) full-cycle implementations.
  • Model Expertise: Deep command of Anaplan formulas, logic implementation, and advanced model construction techniques. Certification as an Anaplan Solution Architect is required; Master Anaplanner status is highly desirable.
  • Technical Versatility: Proven ability to translate complex, non-scalable Excel models into efficient, optimized Anaplan designs. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Functional Acumen: Strong foundational knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting (FP&A) processes, data modeling, and enterprise data integration concepts.
  • Problem Resolution: Exceptional analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving skills to ensure model reliability and data accuracy.
  • Communication & Influence: Effective collaboration and communication skills required to liaise with finance stakeholders and translate business strategy into technical architecture.
  • Industry Preference: Prior experience supporting Financial Services or Private Equity operations is a strong advantage
