We're looking for a motivated, dependable, and professional Administrative Assistant to join our team!

Compensation: $18 - $22/hour (based on experience)
Full-time, 40 hours/week, benefits eligible

Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will use superb customer service skills to greet all residents and communicate professionally with all staff while assisting with the day-to-day operational responsibilities of an affordable housing community. The Administrative Assistant will promote company mission, values, and culture, as well as act with the highest level of ethical decision-making at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answers phone calls, takes messages, schedules appointments (for residents and site staff), checks and responds to voice mails.
  • Assists Community Manager with delegation and dispersion of maintenance responsibilities, opening and closing work orders.
  • Provides state of the art customer service to all individuals (current and prospective residents, vendors, staff, etc.).
  • Collects rent, processes billing statements, posts payments, and deposits receipts.
  • Creates application packets and enters applicants into system.
  • Maintains an organized and professional workspace to effectively manage and process paperwork, ensuring all staff, residents and prospective residents feel welcome.
  • Orders and maintains administrative office supplies.
  • Communicates professionally, respectfully and collaboratively as well as acts with the highest standards of ethical conduct at all times. 
  • Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.


Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-year previous Customer Service experience required.
  • Preference given for administrative experience and/or property management experience.
  • Must have or be willing to learn complete knowledge of all phases of leasing and resident retention.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, time management, conflict resolution, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Required to sit for prolonged periods; exposed to visual display terminal for prolonged periods; dexterity and precision required to operate computer and office machinery.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (typing, creating memos/letters, basic excel and power point) and ability to navigate internet required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Mastery of English language required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
