Position: Advanced Machine Operator / Saw Helper (Full-Time)

Location: Union, MO

Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 6am-4pm, 4pm - 2am, 10pm-6am(8 and 10-hour shifts)

Compensation: $18-25/hr + Piece Rate Bonus +$2.00/hr shift differential

About the Role:
Gateway Extrusions is currently seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our production team as Machine Operators and Saw Helpers . In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining semi-automated machinery to support efficient aluminum extrusion production.

We’re looking for team players with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Prior experience is a plus, but we offer on-the-job training to help you succeed and grow in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate extrusion machinery and saws efficiently and safely.
• Feed raw materials into machines and monitor output.
• Perform regular quality checks using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers).
• Inspect parts for accuracy, identify defects, and ensure consistent product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues during the shift.
• Keep accurate records of production output, including approved and defective units.
• Maintain activity logs and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Support team goals by demonstrating accountability, flexibility, and initiative.
• Deliver excellent customer service by contributing to quality and timely production.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous machine operation experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure with accuracy.
• Familiarity with production environments and high-speed machinery.
• Understanding of safety protocols and use of protective equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and work in a manufacturing setting.
