The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Elizabethton is accepting applications for the part-time position of Adjunct Instructor in Practical Nursing with rotating campuses, Kingsport, Boones Creek, and Elizabethton. Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructors are responsible for teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom/lab and off-campus clinical settings; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the program, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Education.
Minimum QualificationsThe adjunct practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Director of Clinical Education along with the PN faculty, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting. In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners. The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area. Some travel is required.
Salary: $30 per hour/Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
